Boils Buttocks Treatment

boils buttocks treatment

Can anyone give me information about MRSA? Long term problems, how it is spread, treatment, precautions, etc.?

My 7 mo. old grand-daughter was not feeling well and all of a sudden her dad discovered a boil like eruption on her buttocks. It appeared suddendly. Her temp went up to 104 and she was hospitalized. They mentioned MRSA at first, but then her doctor said he did not think it was – she was active and eating (after temp went down). She was released after 2-3 days. Then yesterday the hospital called to do a post discharge check and when the babies mom asked if the results were back on the culture, they said yes and it was MRSA. The mom was told that the babies pediatrician would give them further instruction when they take her in tomorrow. She is on a generic antibiotic called Bactrum Pediatric Suspension. I would like any and all information anyone can give me about MRSA.

methycillin resistant staphylococcus aureus.
basically its one of the nasty forms of superbugs that defy the usual antibiotics.
how a boil? caused it is odd? usually this is caught AT the hospital!! not beforehand.
tea tree oil has the ability to knock this bug off. and its safe! the internal treatment is obviously the gps choice, but the side effects can be rotten, do check what adverse reactions to watch out for with it!
bathe the area 4x daily if you can with a PURE oil diluted 5 drops in 100ml of water. it will work from the outside in! for honest data in case you think i am too alternative?? go to www.pubmed.com and type in tea tree oil antibacterial and you should see some impressive research results on this .Our australian soldiers used in their medical kits in ww1 and 2, and they survived a lot of nasty wounds better than some other poor men, who did not have access. i strongly suggest all washing for this child be done in hot water separately until she recovers, and the family could also add it to bathwater, or a couple of drops on facewasher wiped ,while in shower, all over yourselves. also spray the room with a solution in a water mister to sterilise the air and surfaces, Melaleuca make the only herbal proven antibacterial spray, it contains thyme oil which is very good at knocking germs off. its a simple spray bottle to mist over surfaces in sickrooms and for general hygeine. they also make the purest T.T.oil on the market that i know of.
good luck,laurel
and type in mrsa to google, be prepared to read for a looong time.
