A boil that wont heal?

I had a boil and it drained so the pain went away. I thought after it drained it would heal but it hasn’t. I change the dressing on it all the time and its still leaking blood and pus. So although its painless and seems to be draining it just doesn’t heal. It has been nearly a month now. It obviously drained fully as there is no pain but I am sure this isn’t normal any ideas?

Is the boil in a place where it is being aggravated/chaffing IE between your legs? This would slow down the healing process.
