My mom has MRSA Help!?
My mom was admitted to the hospital six days ago. She has sores on her stomach,groin, and legs. These sores were bad and they were the size of a quarter. 4 days after being in the hospital they said she had MR SA! They have had her on IV antibiotics for a few days and then switched to pills. Here is the problem!!! IT is still spreading!!! She still continues to get staph boils. It is now on her face and more on her stomach! I do not feel that the hospital is taking invasive treatment. They took a culture of her wounds on her belly and it has been three days and NO results. My mom is also diabetic and I am scared this will not go away!!! Please Help!!! I need information any information that can help me help her and help me get through this!

If they have given her IV antibiotics and still have her on oral antibiotics, they are treating her appropriately. You have to give it more time. The new sores is the infection that was under her skin coming out. This will eventually get better.
